Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the cutting of a steel-cored aluminum stranded wire by removing an aluminum stranded wire at the end portion of the steel-cored aluminum stranded wire, inserting the exposed steel stranded wire into a sleeve having a mountain portion and used for the steel stranded, inserting the aluminum stranded wire into an aluminum clamp and compressing the aluminum stranded wire in a reverse compression direction. CONSTITUTION: This method for forming a clamp for holding a steel-cored aluminum stranded wire comprises removing an aluminum stranded wire 1 at the end portion of the steel-cored aluminum stranded wire, inserting the exposed steel-stranded wire 2 into a sleeve 32 having a mountain portion 33 and used for the steel stranded wire, inserting the combination into an aluminum clamp 4, and then compressing the sleeve 32 for the steel stranded wire from the side of the aluminum stranded wire 1 in the reverse compression direction. When the aluminum clamp is compressed, any stress does not act on the steel stranded wire.
