This invention relates to a fixing solution and a fixing method that can easily fix images onto an image-receiving sheet without disturbing them.

After removing +8, it is developed with toner, and then electrostatically transferred to an image-receiving sheet, followed by a pressure fixing method.
The developed image is fixed onto an image-receiving sheet by a solvent vapor fixing method or the like to form a permanent visible image.

。A pressure fixing device is generally used as a fixing method in such an image forming method. However, since the pressure fixing device uses two rollers to press the image receiving sheet carrying the unfixed image, the pressure fixing device must be large and heavy. Therefore, it is desired to develop a compact and lightweight fixing device using a pressureless method.

This method requires a special vapor layer device, which greatly damages the fixing device, and also has the disadvantage that adjusting the fixing time takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes per sheet of N4 paper. If fixing is carried out from this state, the toner will be dissolved by solvent vapor, and in addition to permeating the image-receiving sheet, the toner will flow on the surface of the image-receiving sheet and disturb the image, which is a disadvantage of 5F.In addition, since the solvent used is volatile, Consumption is high, and there are odor and hygiene problems.

This allows unfixed images to be clearly and easily fixed on the image receiving sheet without image disturbance.
It was discovered that a clear fixed image could be obtained, and the present invention was completed.

.. 5 to 120 parts by volume are possible, but preferably 3 to 12 parts by volume of silicone oil. but,
The optimal mixing ratio varies depending on the type and viscosity of the silicone oil and the type of solvent. For example, in the case of mixing a hydrocarbon solvent and dimethyl silicone oil, the above solvent +
Silicone oil component (viscosity 50~
About 10 to 35 parts by volume of 200 centistokes was good. If the proportion of the silicone oil component in the mixed solution is too high, the drying of the image-receiving sheet after fixing the image will be poor, while if it is too small, the toner component will be dissolved quickly by the solvent, causing leakage on the surface of the image-receiving sheet. This is not desirable because it disturbs the image. Therefore, the mixing ratio of the silicone oil and the solvent may be set to an optimal ratio depending on the type and viscosity of the silicone oil and the type of solvent. Moreover, in such a fixing solution, it is necessary to maintain a state in which the silicone oil component and the solvent component are mutually dissolved.

Due to these unique and interrelated effects, extremely sharp fixed images can be obtained without dissolving and casting unfixed images compared to conventional solvent vapor fixing methods using solvent vapor. In addition, the conventional solvent vapor fixing method uses vapor of a volatile solvent, which consumes a large amount of solvent, but the fixing method of the present invention uses a solution with the above-mentioned specific composition, so the loss of the fixing solution is high. It is possible to save more than double the amount, and there are no odor or hygiene problems, making it an advantageous method not only economically but also environmentally hygienically. The fixing speed can also be determined by determining the mixing ratio of the fixing solution and the viscosity of the compatible state.
