Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain uniform working capacity irrespectively of working directions by changing nozzles of injecting auxiliary gases according to the moving directions of a working table in irradiating laser light to the work by condensing the same. CONSTITUTION:Beam 1 of a laser oscillator is condensed by a condenser lens 2 and is irradiated to the work 3. Plural auxiliary gas nozzles 4a, 4b... which are arranged to conform to a working shape are provided between the lens 2 and the work 3. When an XY table 5 placed with the work 3 moves in the direction of an arrow 6a, an auxiliary gas is supplied from an auxiliary gas selector 7 to the nozzle 4a, and when the XY table 5 moves in the direction of an arrow 6b, the auxiliary gas is supplied from the selector 7 to the nozzle 4b. Thereby, uniform working capacity is obtained without depending upon working directions.
