Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a means of display which can be dynamically driven with high intensity and brightness, by application of a bipolar type transistor provided with a high voltage resistance acting as a switching element. CONSTITUTION:Players 2, 4 are formed in a matrix of m lines and n rows in a semiconductor base 1, in the mutually separated status. Each p layer 2 is a part which is rendered a collector of a pnp type transistor TR, and further, each p layer 2 is a region covered with a phospher layer. Each n layer 3 which is the base of TR is formed in each p layer 2, and eah layer 4 which is the emitter of TR is formed in each n layer 3. Furthermore, the surface of each p layer 2 is coated with a phospher unit. Thereby, the unit is capable of bearing sufficiently high pulse voltage or the like, dynamically driven or the like, and able to provide an image display with high revolution.
