Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled unit in which a plurality of jetting nozzle for cleaning the outer and inner surfaces of the openings to be closed with the furnace covers are mounted on the front frame and the penetrating frame so that the high-pressure fluid is jetted to clean the openings efficiently and facilitate the opening and closing of the covers.
CONSTITUTION: The outer surfaces on the front frame 2 and penetrating frame 3 both of which are supported with the shaft 1 are equipped with pipes 4, 5 for supplying high-pressure fluid and the jetting nozzles 7 for cleaning the outer surface 6 of the opening 16 are set on the pipe 4 and the other jetting nozzles 9 are set on the pipe 5 for cleaning the inner surface 8. After the cover is removed, the frame 3 is penetrated into the opening 16 to oppose the front frame 2 to the outer surface of the opening 16. Immediately, high-pressure fluid is supplied to both of pipes 4 and 5 to jet from nozzles 7 and 9 to the front and inner surfaces of the opening 16, break tars sticking to the both surfaces and remove them.
