Abstract

PURPOSE:To record at a high speed while maintaining the recorded density to be as uniform as possible, by a method wherein the amount of electric current energy fed to each heating resistor in the following current-passing cycle is selected according to that in the preceding current-passing cycle. CONSTITUTION:The data indicating the amount of electric current energy fed to each heating resistors in each current-passing cycle are sequentially stored in an RAM4. Based on the output data from the RAM4 and picture signal data, the amount of electric current energy fed to each heating resistor in the following current-passing cycle is selected by a selecting means 3, and the data indicating the amount thus selected are fed to the RAM4. The amount of electric current energy fed to each heating resistor is controlled by a thermal-head controlling circuit 7 in accordance with the output data from the RAM4.
