Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce reflectivity, and to enlarge output of a solar cell by a method wherein a reflection preventive film is constituted of a multilayer film of three layers or more, at least one layer thereof is made as a mixed layer of a material having a high refractive index and a material having a low refractive index, and the refractive indexes of the respective layers are made to be reduced in order from the semiconductor substrate side. CONSTITUTION:The silicon substrate S formed previously with the photovoltaic junction face is dipt in a solution to form a titanium dioxide thin film 13. The thin film 13 is stabilized by the heat treatment. A mixed thin film 14 of titanium dioxide and silicon dioxide, a thin film 15 of aluminum oxide are formed by the same method. The reflection preventive film 16 of three layers is formed by the process thereof. The refrectivities of the respective layers are adjusted as to be reduced in order from the substrate S side. A protective cover 18 is adhered on the reflection preventive film 16 through an adhesive 17 finally.
