Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a wide reflection preventing wavelength region, by giving the three-layer structure where the first, the second, and the third layers are formed in order from the air side to the substrate glass side and selecting the thickness of respective layers to satisfy a prescribed condition. CONSTITUTION:The three-layer structure is given where the first layer I, the second layer II, and the third layer III are formed in order from air A side to the substrate glass B side. When the design wavelength is denoted lambda0, the ratio of the thickness of these layers is set properly according to the structures of the refractive index of substrate glass B and the refractive index of the third layer III in the range where the sum of the thickness of the first and the second layers I and II, is regulated to approximately lambda0/4, and the thickness of the third layer III is regulated to approximately lambda0/2. Further, when refractive indexes of materials constituting the first layer I, the second layer II, and the third layer III are denoted an n1, n2 and n3, respectively and the refractive index of substrate glass B is denoted as (n), they satisfy condition n3>n0>n2>n1.
