Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture an appropriate mineral fiber plate with a sound- absorbing plate free from inter-layer exforiation by separately supplying two kinds of specified slurries to a rotary circular net type matting screen arranged in a slurry cell through a partition. CONSTITUTION:A circular net type matting screen 2 rotatable in the direction of the arrow is set in a slurry cell 1 with the lower half thereof dipped therein and a partition 3 is provided. The unit thus formed is used to supply a high-density mineral material slurry S1 containing a short fiber 11 to the inside of the partition 3 and a low-density mineral material slurry S2 containing a long fiber 10 into the outside thereof separately from two slurry feeders 4 and 4. These materials are matted by the screen 2 to form a mineral fiber plate free from inter-layer exfoliation with a double structive that the upper layer 6 and the lower layer 5 are matted.
