Abstract

A fertilizer composition comprises fly-ash and sewage sludge in the ratio of 2 to 1. The sludge may be wet or dry. In the latter case, water may be separately added. Clay, sand or chemical fertilizer may also be added. According to Fig. 1 (not shown), solid constituents are added from above to a tank having drainage openings by means of a rail and wheeled carriage carrying a hopper, mixing being effected by rotary blades or rakes attached to the carriage. A pipe for wet sludge may also be attached to the carriage. According to Fig. 2 (not shown), hoppers supply the various constituents to a conveyer screw leading to a mixing chamber.
