Abstract

PURPOSE:To switch NTSC system and PAL.SECAM system by one circuit configuration, by providing a variable frequency dividing circuit for changing a frequency dividing ratio in accordance with a television system, on an output of a PLL oscillating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A vertical synchronizing signal is extracted from a PCM audio signal recorded in a VTR, and is inputted to a PLL oscillating circuit 4. In case of the NTSC system, a master clock is generated by a switching signal ''0'', a transmission clock is obtained by a frequency dividing circuit 2, also a phase comparing clock is obtained through a variable frequency dividing circuit 5 whose frequency dividing ratio is 1/105 and a frequency dividing circuit 6, and in case of the PAL.SECAM system, the master clock and the transmission clock are obtained by a switching signal ''1'', and also the phase comparing clock is obtained through the variable frequency dividing circuit 5 whose frequency dividing ratio is 1/125 and the frequency dividing circuit 6. Therefore, both the systems can be switched easily by one circuit.
