Abstract

PURPOSE: To treat waste with high thermal efficiency by an anaerobic digestion tank, a storage tank for a digesting gas, gas engines using the digesting gases from the storage tank as fuel, a heat pump and a heating means by the heat pump.
CONSTITUTION: The org. waste to be treated such as night soil is introduced through an introduction pipe 3, and is heated in a heater 4, after which it is charged into the 1st digesting tank 1, where it is subjected to anaerobic digestion for a number of days anaerobically at about 35°C. The contents of the tank 1 are transferred into the 2nd digesting tank 2, and the digesting gas produced therein is removed through a gas removal pipe 7. The digesting gases produced in the tank 1 and the tank 2 are removed through removal pipes 7, 13, and are stored in a storage tank 15, after which they are supplied through a supply pipe 16 to a waste heat boiler 17, and gas engines 18, 19, by which they are used as fuel. When a heat pump 33 is driven, heat is recovered from the desorbing liquid or the like in a heat exchanger 11, and this heat is released in a condenser 37, whereby the hot water is heated.
