Abstract
PURPOSE: To save fuel consumption by reducing the burning amount of a boiler by a method wherein a closed loop is formed by a heat accumulation tank and a solar heat collector, and water from a water source is supplied to a heat exchanger which utilizes, as a heating medium, waste hot water from the bathroom.
CONSTITUTION: A quantity of comparatively low temperature water such as service water is once stored in a water tank 3 arranged at a position higher than the level of a water line 2. The water is first introduced into an auxiliary tank 32 through the heat exchanger 4 and a pump 5 and then into a chamber 25 of a sealed heat accumulating tank 6 which is connected to the solar heat collector 10 through pipe lines 11 and 12 to thereby provide a circuit in the form of a loop. The water in the chamber 25 is pumped into the heat collector 10 through a pump 13 so as to be heated there and is then introduced into another chamber 24 of the tank 6. The hot water in the chamber 24 is introduced into a boiler 15 through a pipe line 14 where it is heated to a suitable temperature and is then supplied to a bathtub 1. Further, the exhaust hot water used in the bathroom is introduced into the heat exchanger 4 through a pipe line 7 and is then discharged into a drain pipe 9 after conducting its heat to the service water.
