Abstract

PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the load of the input of characters and to increase the input speed, by avoiding each reinput of the words or clauses which are repetitively used but by supplying the characters equivalent to a digit or so that represent the corresponding word or clause. CONSTITUTION:A data processor 7 stores input data into a buffer memory 9 in accordance with the character supplied through a keyboard 1. The data in the memory 9 is refreshed synchronously with a display controller 10 and then displayed on a display 11 via a character generating part and a video signal generating part in the controller 10. The keyboard 1 contains a character arraying board 2 for Chinese characters and KANA letters, a register key 3, a call key 4, a punctuation key 5 and a call cancel key 6, respectively. If it is decided that the word or clause to be supplied will be repetitively used thereafter, the key 3 is pushed before supplying the corresponding word or clause. After this, the key 5 is pushed.
