Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the fatigue of recording and operation and also to increase an input speed by registering idiomatic phrases of a line of Chinese characters while letting a character input device learn, by displaying lines of Chinese characters whose initial characters agree mutually, and then by assigning and inputting needed lines among them.
CONSTITUTION: A character code signal from character input key device 1 is sent to character-code-line controller 2 by way of signal line 11 and further outputted to signal line 12 of an output part via character-code output gate device 3. At this time, when this signal shows a Chinese-character code, unit 2 stores the code in a buffer memory inside of unit 2 temporarily and when a kana Japanese syllabary code, it is outputted to signal line 12 via device 3. Then, unit 2 compares the input character with the initial character of a character line stored in the buffer memory and when the both agree each other, a character with the character line at its head is found so as to send the code to character display pattern memory 4 via signal line 13, and the pattern of it is read out and displayed by display unit 5.
