Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a printing plate for a high accuracy image by forming a peelable image forming material on a transparent support with a photopolymerizing composition, conducting a patternwise exposure from the support side, and contact-transferring the unexposed composition left on the support onto an uneven substrate. CONSTITUTION:A photopolymerizing composition is applied to a transparent support of polyethylene terephthalate or the like to obtain an image forming material. The composition layer of this material is brought into contact with a plane substrate such as a staenless plate, patternwise exposure is conducted from the support side and the support with unexposed composition stuck is peeled off. The unexposed composition layer is brought into contact with the surface of an uneven substrate such as a cylinder or a screen printing plate, and uniform exposure is conducted from the support side to form a photoset image of the composition on the surface of the uneven substrate. The support is then peeled off. Thus, a printing plate with a high accuracy image is obtd.
