Abstract

PURPOSE: To start an engine in proper way, by providing the means of restricting starter operation until the initial position setting for a throttle valve is completed by an actuator.
CONSTITUTION: The opening of the throttle valve, (not shown in figured), of a carburettor 6 arranged on an engine 1 is determined by an actuator 5 including a motor and the like. Signals transmitted from a speed detector 2 on the engine 1, an idle detector 3 of the throttle valve, a position detector of the actuator 5, a starter 7 and a key switch 8 are fed into a control device 9, so that the opening of the throttle valve may be always set at an adequate opening according to a running condition. Furthermore, any current flow to the starter 7 is interrupted in starting phase, until an idle opening is properly set.
