Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate wow and flutter with a high precision, by supplying the wow and flutter detection signal reproduced from the recording medium to the BBD and by comparing the output frequency and the reference frequency with each other and by controlling the clock signal frequency of the BBD so that they are coincide with each other to delay the reproducing signal on the BBD. CONSTITUTION:The signal including wow and flutter components is detected by recording and reproducing head 11 and is delayed through detection signal reproducing circuit 12 by BBD14 and is compared with the reference signal from reference signal oscillator 10 by frequency comparator 15. The frequency differential output is sent to clock frequency control signal generator 17, and by the output, the clock signal frequency of clock signal oscillator 13 is so controlled that wow and flutter components are eliminated. The output of BBD13 not only performs such control that the frequency of BBD14 is coincide with the reference frequency but also is sent to BBD19 to cause the frequency of the signal reproduced by recording and reproducing head 9 to coincide with the reference frequency, and thus, the output of BBD13 has wow and flutter components eliminated with a high precision and is output from output terminal 20.
