Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic receptor with superior endurance and improved adhesion of the photoconductive layer by forming an amorphous silicon- base photoconductive layer on an electrically conductive substrate interfacing a layer contg. a silane coupling agent.
CONSTITUTION: ≤ About 1, preferably ≤0.3μ thick layer 3 contg. a silane coupling agent is formed on electrically conductive substrate 2 such as glass or resin film coated with an electrically conductive substance or metal plate, and amorphous silicon layer 4 is formed on layer 3 at ≤ about 250°C to obtain electrophotographic receptor 1. Layer 3 is made of silane coupling agent such as N-β-(aminoethyl)- γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane or of mixture of the agent and an org. polymer binder such as chlorinated polyethylene.
