Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an image bearing material having high durability, and ease with which an electrostatic image formed on said material can be erased, by using an organic photoconductive layer containing a lubricant as a surface layer. CONSTITUTION:Polyethylene, polytetrafluoroethylene, talc, etc. having <=10mu primary particle diameter are used as a lubticant. An intermediate resin layer made of a butadiene rubber or the like is formed on a substrate, an organic photoconductor, such as vinylcarbazole, said lubricant, a fluorine-containing surfactant, and when needed, a binder resin are mixed to give a coating liquid, this is coated and dried on the intermediate layer to form an organic photoconductive layer, thus permitting a desired image bearing material to be obtained.
