PURPOSE:To manufacture an electrophotographic receptor with remarkably high sensitivity and high endurance by adding specified polysulfone to a charge transferring layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge generating layer and a charge transferring layer are formed on a substrate to manufacture an electrophotographic receptor. At this time, to the charge transferring layer is added >=1 kind of polysulfone represented by formulaeI, II, III (where each of n and m is a positive integer). The polysulfone has superior mechanical strength and heat resistance, and since the sulfur is in the perfectly oxidized state, and polysulfone has especially superior ozone resistance, and most preferable characteristics can be provided when the receptor is applied to a copier. By adding a pyrazoline compound such as the compound of formula IV or a hydrazone compound such as the compound of formula V as a charge transferring substance when the charge transferring layer is formed using the polysulfone, an especially satisfactory effect can be produced.
