Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a printing master superior in thickness precision, by arranging a light transmitting roller and a hard plate at a desired interval opposite to each other, feeding a substrate, a liquid photosensitive resin, and an image carrier, and moving them at the same apeed while exposure is made at the same time. CONSTITUTION:Roller 4 having a circumferential wall capable of transmitting an active ray and hard plate 5 are arranged at an interval similar to thickness of desired phtosensitive resin layer 3 opposite to each other. Substrate 2 for layer 3 is fed along the roller side of plate 5, image carrier 1 is brought along the roller face, and a photosensitive resin liquid is supplied between substrate 2 and carrier 1. Simultaneously, the active ray is incident from the backside of carrier 1 through the walls of roller 2, and carrier 1 and substrate 2 are moved in the same direction and at the same speed. Hardened areas A and nonhardened areas B corresponding to the image are formed on layer 3, thus permitting layer 3 of specified thickness to be formed continuously, and printing masters of high thickness precision to be continuously obtained by imagewise exposure.
