Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the safe running possible without regard to the variation in the number of passengers by controlling the speed in consideration of the weight of the magnetically floating vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: The command information of the acceleration and deceleration of the speed requied for the optimum running of the magnetically floating vehicle is applied to an operation amplifier 27 via a line 28 as a speed acceleration and deceleration command signal. The torque to be generated by a motor is calculated from said speed acceleration and deceleration signal and the full load signal from a load response device 25. The full load signal can be obtained from the current flowing in an electromagnet and a gap. Then, in order to generate the calculated torque effectively in consideration of the characteristics of the motor, the optimum voltage and frequency to be applied to the motor 14 are calculated from the speed signal from a speed sensor 26. Then, the signal reprsenting the optimum voltage and the optimum frequency is given to a variable frequency inverter 31 via lines 29 and 30. The inverter 31 converts the DC power supply into the three-phase AC having the specified voltage and frequency and gives it to the motor 14.
