Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a DC overvoltage at regenerative braking and to shorten deceleration and consumption time by a method wherein the output in an acceleration and deceleration timing setting device is controlled so that the magnitude of regenerative voltage may not exceed the predetermined allowable voltage at regenerative braking. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor 2 is charged by an AC regenerative voltage generated at the regenerative braking of an induction motor 5 through a fly-wheel diode section 4. When the terminal voltage in the capacitor 2 exceeds the detecting value of an overvoltage detector 11, the rate of decreasing the output voltage in an acceleration and deceleration timing setting device 7 at unit time reduces in directly proportional to the magnitude of the exceeded value. When the inertial moment of a motor 5 is especially high and the regenerative voltage is very high, a decrease in the output voltage in the acceleration and deceleration timing setting device 7 is temporarily stopped.
