Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent securely the surface of paper form staining in copying by detecting the existence of a photoreceptor by the magnitude of bias electric current and by applying a high bias voltage only when the photoreceptor exists.
CONSTITUTION: Opposite electrode 2 is provided at the opposite position of magnetic brush 1 and then applied with a bias. Then, photoreceptor 3 with a formed electrostatic latent image is sent between magnetic brush 1 and opposite electrode 2 by roller 4 and led to heat fixing roller 5. Bias electric power source control system 6, however, is put into operation only when detecting method 8 detects photoreceptor 3 reaching magnetic brush 1 by a change in bias voltage or electric current.
