Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the corrosion resistance of tin plate obtd. by forming Fe-Sn alloy layers on both sides of black plate and Sn alloy layers on the surfaces of the Fe-Sn alloy layers by reducing the thickness of one Fe-Sn alloy layer to ≤1/2 of that of the other Fe-Sn alloy layer.
CONSTITUTION: Both sides of black plate 1 are tinned so that the thickness of a tinned layer on one side 2b becomes ≤1/2 of that of a tinned layer on the other side 2a. The tinned plate is heated at about 300°C for 1min in a heating furnace to convert the whole into Fe-Sn alloy. Secondary tinning is then carried out to form Sn alloy layers 3, and a product is obtd. after reflowing and after-treatment.
