Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the winding start end of a coil from being overlapped with the coil, by providing a coil support between prescribed arms made of an electroconductive material and located on a commutator segment and by connecting the winding start end and winding termination end of the coil to prescribed points. CONSTITUTION:A commutator 1 manufactured by coating a copper leaf 3 on an insulating plate 2 is divided into an odd number of commutator segments 5 by slits 4. Copper arms 6 are provided on both the sides of each commutator segment 5 near its tip 5a. A coil support 7 made of a surge absorber or the like is provided between the arms 6, 6 located on the opposed sides of the adjacent commutator segments 5, 5. The winding start end (a) of a coil 8 made of a self-fusible wire is connected to the end 7a of the coil support 7 on one of the adjacent segments. The coil 8 is wound by a desired number of turns around the coil support 7. The winding termination end (b) of the coil is connected to the tip 5a of the other adjacent segment.
