Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the length of a rotor shorter and enable to adapt the modification in characteristic of a motor by a method wherein the number of coil windings per one segment of a commutator is set at a predetermined value and these windings are almost uniformly distributed. CONSTITUTION:A commutator of a motor is composed of S number of commutator segments and a cup rotor with the diameter D is formed by coil groups with S phases corresponding to the segment number S. Now assuming that the diameter of each coil wire is d, the inclined angle of the coil wires 14 against the axial end of the cup rotor is theta and the layer number in the case of aligned winding is m, the winding number N of the coil wires 14 per one segment of the commutator is given by that N piXDXmXsintheta/(dXS). These coil wires 14 with the winding number N are almost uniformly distributed within the range of one segment angle 2Xpi/S and wound in the not aligned condition.
