Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the resolution in the same degree as in the case of white-and- black pickup, without increasing the number of photodiodes and clock frequency, by using the pickup plate capable to obtain G component signal as a continuous signal and R and B components as discontinuous signals, simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:The pickup section 102 consists of the photodiode groups which stores the signal charge corresponding to the color component light passing through the color stripe filter 101, in which the G filter element transmitting the G component being horizontally continuous and R/B filter element provided with the areas passing through the R or B component alternatively in mozaic are alternately arranged toward vertical readout direction, and the elements are scanned with the vertical scanning circuit 103 and the horizontal scanning circuit 104. R, B or G components are simultaneously read out through FF105, AND circuits 106c-107c, and switching elements 108a-110c, and the R and B components having twice the period of the clock pulse are picked up at the sampling circuit 115, they are added with the G components, the output of the luminance component pickup circuit 116, to the encoder 117, being converted into NTSC signal.
