Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a heat-accumulating medium which has a large heat accumulation because latent heat is used and does not solidify by a method wherein microcapsules with phase transition material sealed in are suspended in suspending medium to form slurry.
CONSTITUTION: A material making phase transition of solid state to liquid one at phase transition temperature 20W100°C is sealed in microcapsules of synthetic resin and the like. Then, the microcapsules are suspended in the suspending medium to form a heat-accumulating medium as slurry. A liquid which is used as the suspending medium should not solidify at the phase transition temperatures of a phase transition material at least. The heat obtained by a solar heat accumulator 1 is given to the heat-accumulating medium 6 in a heat-accumulating tank 5 through a heat exchanger 3 and the heat is radiated from a radiator 8 through a heat exchanger 4.
