Abstract
PURPOSE: To discharge and use accmulated heat at night by filling a substance whose melting point is above 20°C and below 70°C and is solid at a room temperature in a vessel made of black metal plates and absorbing solar heat in the substance.
CONSTITUTION: A heat accumulating substance is filled in a black mat metal vessel and heat is accumulated in the substance by sunshine in the daytime. At the heat accumulating substance, a substance which is solid at a room temperature and melts into a liquid at 20W70°C is selected irrespective of organic or inorganic. As actual examples, polyethylene glycol #4000 and sodium sulfate 10 hydrate were used, and being heated to a surface temperature of 45°C by sunlight in an insulated box, surface temperatures of 40°C and 33°C were measured respectively after 24hr.
