Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure that the temperature of a heating medium rises to a predetermined temperature immediately after the starting of heat release and provides a fixed thermal output, and to enhance the heat response of a heat accumulator by a method wherein a packed bed intended for utilization of sensible heat is provided on the side of an outlet for a heating medium during heat releasing period.
CONSTITUTION: During heat releasing period, a heating medium is introduced from an opening portion 9, contacts a packed bed 10 intended for utilization of latent heat to receive the heat released from the packed bed 10 by the phase transition to solid state, then flows through a packed bed 11 intended for utilization of sensible heat and flows out via an opening portion 8. When the heating medium contacts with the packed bed 11 intended for utilization of sensible heat which is at low temperature, an absorption of sensible heat by the packed bed 11 takes place. Since this absorption of sensible heat is conducted in a very short time period as compared with the absorption of latent heat accompanied by a phase transition, the temperature of the heating fluid flowing out via the opening portion 8 immediately reaches a fixed temperature as indicated by a solid line in the figure, while a stable thermal output is obtained over a long time period, and the heat responsiveness of the heat accomulator is enhanced.
