Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a serious accident from occurring by identifying an abnormality of the steam valve by a method wherein there are provided an acceleration speed detector measuring a valve rod oscillation of the steam valve, a frequency analyzer obtaining a peak value of the oscillation and an arithmetic unit calculating an allowable value of the oscillation.
CONSTITUTION: After the valve rod oscillation is detected by means of the acceleration speed detector 45, 46 and applied to the frequency analyzer 70, the peak value of the oscillation is detected by a peak value surveyor 73. The arithmetic unit 75 operates calculations of the allowable value of the oscillation value according to signals fed from a differential transformer 44, a main steam pressure detector 47, a main steam temperature detector 48, a pressure detector 49 detecting a steam flow of the turbine and a load detector 50, and sends forth signals to a reference setter 76. The signals of the peak value surveyor 73 and the reference setter 76 are compared by a comparator 77 and issues an alarm on an indicator 78 when the allwable value is exceeded. Thus, the serious accident of the steam valve can be prevented to occur.
