Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize effectively a washing chemical liquid and save the amount of water to be supplied by introducing overflow water at the rear stage into the washing tower of the front stage in a multistage type gas-washing and deodorizing apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus to deodorize offensive odor gas, an overflow pipe 15 leading from the second washing tower 2 to the sirst washing tower 1 is provided at a place higher than an overflow pipe 9 from the first washing tower 1. Then, overflow water from the second washing tower 2 naturally flows through the pipe 15 into the first washing tower 1 and the washing water of the first washing tower is correspondingly discharged from the pipe 9. Thus, since the first washing tower 1 of high concentrations of offensive odor gas is first washed by used washing water, chemical liquid can be effectively utilized and at the same time the amount of water to be supplied can also be saved.
