Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise power efficiency by applying a switching method to a power source part, controlling the voltage value of the power source in accordance with the amplitude of an input signal and thereby making an amplifying element operate constantly in the condition near to the maximum output. CONSTITUTION:The power source part 11 rectifying and smoothing an AC power source is connected with a DC-DC converter 12 whereby positive and negative DC voltage is obtained and the output thereof is supplied to a load 2 through the main amplifier 16. Meanwhile, the voltage level of an input signal source 25 is passed through a PWM converter including a signal amplifier 17, a carrier generator 18, voltage comparing amplifiers 20 and 21 and reference voltage 22 and 23, and by the output thereof the DC-DC converter 12 is driven. Accordingly, the output voltage of the converter 12 is controlled in accordance with the voltage level of the input signal source 25 and thereby the amplifying element of the main amplifier 16 can be operated constantly in the condition near the maximum output, and thus the power efficiency can be raised without using a plurality of power sources and amplifying elements.
