Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the output voltage of a constant-voltage power source by controlling the initial charging volage level of the resonance capacitor of a series resonance type DC/DC converter with another switching element. CONSTITUTION:A resonance capacitor 5, a resonance coil 6 and the primary coil 8 of a conversion transformer 7 are connected in series with the middle point of serially connected power sources 1, 2 and switching elements 3, 4. A conversion transformer 14 is provided in parallel with the capacitor 5, the primary coil 19 of a conversion transformer 18 and a switching element 21 are connected in series with the rectified output, and the secondary coil 20 of the transformer 18 is connected through a diode 22 to an output smoothing capacitor 11. Accordingly, the output can be stabilized against the large variation of the input voltage and the load by so setting as to store the energy in the primary coil 19 when the switching element 21 is ON and to charge the capacitor 11 from the secondary coil 20 when it is OFF.
