Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the high-speed and continuous reading with a high resolution, by delivering via the signal processing circuit the picture signals which read out with image sensor every carrier step of the original and then giving the adjustment to the overlap lines of the picture signals. CONSTITUTION:The original is carried, and picture signal (a) is sent to binary coding circuit 9 of signal processor 7 from the image sensor to be converted into binary coded signal (a'). Signal (a') is then stored in memory 10. The output of memory 10 is compared with the preceding picture signal at coincidence circuit 11. And when the coincidence is obtained, output (f) is sent to coincidence counter 12 with every bit to be counted every line. And the count value is sent to register 13 and comparator 14 each. Comparator 14 compares the contents between counter 12 and register 13 with every line. In case the contents of register 13 is larger than that of counter 12, the output is changed to the contents of register 13.
