Abstract
PURPOSE: To recover usable produced oil and gas with good efficiency without discharging carbon by burning selectively carbon produced in the thermal decomposition of wastes.
CONSTITUTION: The hollow cylinder 9 whose one end has an opening on the fluid bed bottom side and the other end has an opening on the inside of fluid bed is provided uprightly in the fluid bed thermal decomposition furnace 1. Fuidizing air from the air inlet nozzles 3 and 4 is supplied into the furnace 1 and also air from the air jet stream inlet nozzle 5 is sent into the cylinder 9 to form the dilute layer 12 inside the cylinder 9 and also to form the thick layer 11 outside the cylinder 9. The wastes 13 ground to a grain size of 50mm or less are supplied from the supply nozzle 2 into the upper part of the thick layer 11, fluidized inside the thick layer 11 of approx. 550°C and then moved downwards, during which gas and the carbon 14 are formed as long as they reach the bottom of the fluid bed, and the gaseous substance is discharged from the outlet nozzle 6 and cooled to recover gas and formed oil. The carbon 14 is introduced into the cylinder 9 and burned inside the dilute layer 12.
