Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable operation of a condenser of a turbine in an electric power plant or the like in reverse flow without decreasing the performance of the condenser in case of cleaning cooling tubes of the condenser.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust tube 41 installed at a position symmertrical with an exhaust tube 23, namely, in the vicinity of a rear water chamber 15. The tube 41 is connected through a conduit 42, a valve 43 and a conduit 44 to a conduit 26 and then from a conduit 45 through a conduit 27, a valve 28 and a conduit 29 of one side to a vacuum pump or an air ejector 30. When coolant water is reversely flown to clean cooling tubes 17, it is flown from an outlet 16 to an inlet 13 to cause the pressure of noncondensable gas or the like to decrease in the rear water chamber 15. Since the exhaust tube 41 is provided in this condenser, when the valve 43 is fully opened as connected through the conduit 42 to the exhaust tube 41 and valves 25, 32 are fully closed, the noncondensable gas is flown into to exhaust tube 41 provided with an air passage 22 at the side of the low pressure rear water chamber 15 so as to perform the aforementioned purpose.
