Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a good regenerative sound which scarcely has distortion by detecting the distortion generated when a FM signal passes through a BPF and compressing the max. frequency deviation.
CONSTITUTION: A is a transmitting side and B is a receiving side. Since the pass band of band erasing filter BEF6 is more narrow than that of BPF4, BEF6 and AM detector 5 which are connected to the output of BPF4 generate AM signal modulation c before AM modulation is generated by means of excessive input into BPF4, and the detected output d is applied to the control terminal of compressor 2. Thus, the deviation of FM modulator 3 is compressed and FM signal e is applied to mixer 7 without generation of a AM signal, so that the FM signal is transmitted. In the receiving side, the FM signal passed through divider 8 is selected and demodulated by BPF4'; on the other hand, the operation of BEF6' and AM detector 5' is the same as that in the transmitting side and the compressed signal is expanded to be regenerated by means of the reversed operation.
