Abstract
PURPOSE: To give the title composition highly dispersible in water with little generation of hydrogen gas from metal powder and having good storage stability, comprising a metal powder, a saturated or unsaturated higher fatty acid, and an anion or nonion surfactant.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprising (1) a metal powder, (2) 10W40 wt% of a saturated or unsaturated higher fatty acid and (3) 0.2W40 wt% of an anion or nonion surfactant, both based on the metal component in the powder. The fatty acid is one with formula R-COOH (where R is 10W20C alkyl), e.g. n-undecylenic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, etc. The metal powder is, e.g. of aluminum, copper, their alloy, etc. The anion surfactant is, e.g. an alkyl sulfate, triethanol amine, etc. The nonion surfactant is, e.g. polyethylene glycol-fatty acid ester, etc.
