Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain power for a space craft by a method wherein an oxygen duct is provided at the center of a hydrogen duct, the ratio of both gases flowing in the ducts is adjusted to a given value to prevent detonation for combustion, and a high-temperature high-pressure steam thus produced is adjusted to necessary temperature and pressure.
CONSTITUTION: In a hydrogen combustor 1 equipped with hydrogen blast pipe 2, oxygen blast pipe 3, spray or steam blast pipe 4 and steam extracting port 5, the ratio of hydrogen flowing in a hydrogen duct and oxygen flowing in an oxygen duct provided at the center of hydrogen duct is controlled to 1.9869, hydrogen is burned with oxygen at an oxygen blow-off port at a front end of the oxygen duct to a steam of high temperature and high pressure, which is allowed to spout directly into a high-temperature water in a boiler drum through duct7, branch pipes 81, 82, 91, 92 to necessary temperature and pressure, and is then fed into a steam turbine from a steam duct 13. Thus hydrogen and oxygen are prevented from detonation to perform combustion, and the steam is available for flight of a space craft.
