Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure the correct reproduction of the picture signals at the reception side by calculating the time required for the block recording with every block and then adding the dummy bit so that the transmission time of the block code information may be longer than the calculation time.
CONSTITUTION: In case the facsimile picture signal is transmitted after the band compression encoding given every block, the 1-line picture signal is delivered from running part 1 and then encoded at compression part 2. At the same time, the time required for recording the 1-line picture signal through the reception device is calculated by recording time counter 3. Furthermore, the transmission time for the encoding information equivalent to one line is calculated by transmission time counter 4. Then the value calculated by counters 3 and 4 are compared with each other by comparator 5. And in case counter 3 features a larger number than counter 4, the differential time information is delivered. And the dummy bits equivalent to the bit number which can be sent within the difference time are delivered by the output and via dummy generator 6. Then the dummy bits are applied to memory part 8 for memorization via OR gate 7 which supplies the output of compressor 2.
