Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently remove SOx from waste gas by a method wherein high SOx concentration waste gas at prestage of sintering equipments consisting of plural DL sintering machines placed in parallel is circulated for use in combustion and heating of the next stage and the final stage waste gas is treated for desulfurization.
CONSTITUTION: Low SOx concentration waste gas is discharged from ore-binding group and ore-discharging group of plural stage DL sintering machines. The waste gas passes through wind box 51, directly connected waste gas duct 61, dust precipitator in each sintering machine, and is discharged outside. Waste gas contg. high SOx concentration from sintering group passes through wind box 52, connection duct 62, dust remover 81, exhauster 71 to ignition furnace 4 and hood 9 in sintering machine in another system and is reutilized as air for combustion or warming up. Only waste gas discharged from sintering group of the final sintering machine passes through connection duct 62a, and dust remover 81 and enters desulfurizer 10. The gas, after desulfurization, is combined with waste gas from the directly connected duct 61 and discharged out of the system.
