Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of desulfurization and denitrification by recycling the exhaust gas from the front part of the air-intake systemof DL sintering machine as the rear gas after dehumidification for the desulfurization and denitrification of the exhaust gas from the rear part of the machine.
CONSTITUTION: The air-intake system of the window box 12 of the DL sintering machine 11 is divided into approx. 2/3 of the front part of grate and approx. 1/3 of the rear part. The fresh air 10 is supplied into the front part, and the intaken air at the part is passed, through the conduit 18 and the blower 14, through the dust-removing dehumidifier 14 with exhaust gas and then recycled as the rear gas from the cover 15 again through the circulating gas conduit 13. The exhaust gas from the rear part is sent through the conduit 18' and the blower 20 to the desulfurization apparatus 21 and the denitrification apparatus 22. The rear gas conduit 18' is provided with the heat exchanger 19 to enhance the denitrification effect by making use of the sendible heat of exhaust gas. Thus, the total exhaust gas is reduced to approx. 1/2 and thus the treating cost for NOx and SOx emissions present in exhaust gas can be reduced. The denitrification efficiency can also be enhanced.
