Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a device for reproducing an ink ribbon for their transfer which can form an ink layer evenly and economically by a method wherein fine grains of ink are stuck selectively to an ink-consuming part of the ink ribbon and melted by heat to form again the ink layer.
CONSTITUTION: A substrate 11a of an ink ribbon 11 formed by coating the substrate 11a given electroconductivity with heat-melted ink composed of insulating material is earthed to an electrode 14, while an ink-remaining part 11b is electrified to bear stated polarity by an electrfier 12. Next, fine grains of ink 13a electrified to bear the same polarity are stuck selectively to an ink-consuming part by a magnetic sleeve 13b, and fine grains of ink 13a and the remaining ink 11b are heated and melted by a heat roller 17. Then an ink layer is made to be smooth by an ink-surface smoothing roller 18, thereby a reproduced ink layer 11c being formed.
