Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a fixed image on plain paper at the same time as application of record signal and to form a clear image without ground soiling by effectively applying both features of electrostatography and thermography. CONSTITUTION:Recording plain paper 11 is stretched with transporting couple of rollers 13 and wound with winding roller 15. Conductive magnetic toner 16 is fed from hopper 17 onto rotary conductive sleeve 19 provided with magnetic roller 18 in its inside to form toner layer 20 of uniform thickness. Recording thermal head 12 is pressed into contact to the other surface of paper 11 opposite sleeve 19 across constant air gap S. Recording voltage and heat are simultaneously applied to head 12 to attach layer 20 to paper 11 by electrostatic attraction and to fix it with heat from head 12 at the same time, thus forming recorded image 14.
