Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to use a single-circuit control valve as a dual-circuit control valve by making slight modification to the same, through provision of an inoperative piston which is responsive only to the output pressure of a control valve in a single circuit and has not a portion responsive to the input pressure of the control valve.
CONSTITUTION: While output pressure of the first circuit, that is, the force for urging inoperative piston 10 to the left is smaller than the force of spring 11, follow- up piston 1 is urged in its left position and valve 2 is kept open. On the other hand, when the first circuit becomes inoperative, the inoperativeness is maintained until pressure of the second circuit, acted to the left end portion of follow-up piston 1, becomes equal to the force of spring 11. However, when input 21 of the second circuit becomes higher than the spring force, follow-up piston 1 is moved to the right against the force of spring 11, so that valve 2 is closed and subsequent rise in the output 22 of the second circuit is suppressed. Therefore, if pressure at which operation of inoperative piston 10 is started is designed to be lower than pressure at which operation of the first circuit is started, it can be used in a duel-circuit brake system.
