Abstract

A spiral projection 11a is provided on the inside of the rotor so that the spiral projection 11a twists in the same direction as the former 10a. A magnetic circuit is made of the cores, the rotor and both the spiral projections depending on the magnetization. At that time, the shaft 10 and the rotary step motor including the rotor are displaced relatively to each other in the axial direction by a quantity corresponding to the rotation of the rotor, by the attraction of both the projections facing each other through a small gap. The minute linear step is thus performed.
