Abstract
PURPOSE: To directly cause an output shaft to perform straight step motion, by providing rotary magnetic poles which have a plurality of projections being fitted on a shaft screwed in a casing and by disposing stationary magnetic poles which have a number of projections and coils different in number from that of the projections of the rotary magnetic poles and are placed near the peripheral surfaces of the rotary magnetic poles.
CONSTITUTION: Rotary magnetic poles 3 secured on a shaft 2 have five projections 3a∼3e. Stationary magnetic poles 4 secured on the inside of a casing 1 extend toward the magnetic poles 3 and have four projections 4a∼4d in positions to equally divide the circumference by four. The adjacent coils 5a∼5d on the magnetic poles 4 are wound in the opposite direction to each other. When the projections 3a, 4a face each other and the coils 5a, 5b are energized, the magnetic poles 3 are rotated counterclockwise by 9° and stopped in such a position that the maximum magnetic energy is produced. If the shaft 2 has right-hand screw threads, it is stepped rightward. When the current of the coil 5a is cut off and other coils 5b, 5c are energized, the magnetic poles 3 are rotated counterclockwise by 18° and the shaft 2 is stepped by a corresponding quantity. The shaft can thus be directly stepped.
